Precious Cargo is pleased to present we weren’t bored, an exhibition by Denver-based artist Adán De La Garza. The five channel video installation and accompanying artifacts chronicle an early 2000s Tucson world from the perspective of a group of teenage boys. The exhibition is joined by the release of a zine of the same name, featuring stills and text to supplement the videos, which were taken over the course of 6 years during De La Garza’s transition to young adulthood.

Precious Cargo presents Cosmic Weariness, an exhibition by Chicago-based artist Annabelle Dunstan. The show culminates in a selection of paintings and drawings which reflect on residue and the search for understanding in the midst of overwhelm, mystery, and spiritual fatigue. The exhibition coincides with a release of a new zine by the same name.

Precious Cargo presents BOOT DIRT ONLY, an exhibition by Tucson-based artist Graham Downing. On display are a selection of paintings and polaroids from Downing’s reflections of their year-long experience working as a stuntman at Old Tucson, the theme park on the west side of the Tucson Mountains. The Moment of Sun

Precious Cargo is pleased to present The Moment of Sun, an exhibition by Palestinian artist and filmmaker Noor Abed. The exhibition takes shape as a 50-minute looping video and sound installation of her two most recent films, our songs were ready for all wars to come (2021) and A Night We Held Between (2024). The installation is accompanied by her book Stars at Midday –نجوم الضُهر (, an account of Abed’s film production process which combines diary entries, poetry, and images.   More about the exhibition.

The Moment of Sun is organized in collaboration with Tasha Bjelić and is supported in part by Night Bloom: Grants for Artists, through MOCA Tucson and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
